update on the new dishwasher
Got the new Bosch installed finally (took a plumber and a couple days, no fault of the DW BTW) and OMG!!!

:wow:

We have extremely hard water here and I had bought new glasses last summer that were already looking etched and never looked clean due to a milky film.

That DW has taken all the etching off and the glasses are now actually clear again although it took a few times through the washer.

I am following the manf. suggestion and using these Electrasol all-in-one tabs

along with this stuff the PioneerWoman suggested, "LemiShine"

We don't rinse, we just scrape and even if they sit a few days, everything comes out sparkly and clean

the cycle takes a while, but it only uses about 5 gallons per cycle, so we're saving a TON of water.

I'm VERY happy :bounce:

2. How about the noise level?
We had a Bosch that was so quiet, we couldn't even tell if it was running! We have a Kitchenaide now and it's pretty quiet but not as quiet as that Bosch!

I'm glad it's working so well for you! :hi:

3. noise? what noise?
the only time you can 'barely' hear it is when it's draining the water into the disposal

that thing is silent. truly.

:hi:

6. I have to look for that stuff.
We have a well and very hard water. My glassware is clean but it doesn't look like it is from the residue etching.
