I need an easy cheesecake recipe.
I bought a 9 inch spring form pan last month at big lots and in a few days I want to try and make my first cheesecake. I am nervous as hell. Nothing to difficult and I would like to make a chocolate cheesecake. Please and thank you.

1. Yum! Cheesecake!
Here's a link to an earlier post re: Cheesecake Tips. It inclueds a link to a FoodTV chocolate cheesecake (although it might be "more" than what you want for your first cheesecake). There are hundreds/thousands of cheesecake recipes available on line. For some starter recipes, check Check the Philly Cream Cheese cheesecake recipes at http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/search/SearchResults.aspx?searchType=cat&type_of_meal=4&scatid=123&idtext=Cakes%2FPies%2FCheesecakes|Cheesecakes:%20Baked

Also check out their cheesecake videos here:

All cheesecake is wonderful, hope yours turns out great!

For more cheesecake recipes, check the Food Network, Epicurious.com, cooking.com, or joyofbaking.com. You find tons to choose from.

2. there are lots of recipes, housewolf above gave you great advice
my only suggestion is they aren't kidding about letting the cream cheese come up to room temp first, it will make or break you.

other than that, I find cheese cakes are very very easy

3. I think housewolf meant to post this
for you this morning:

Don't let cheesecake scare you. Just follow the directions. It's neither difficult nor complicated.

9. This one is pretty easy, Charles.
http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Deep-Dark-Chocolate-Cheesecake-236209

I just tucked it into the fridge a little while ago and I'm not going to do the topping on it. I think it is chocolatey enough without it. I used the 85% cocoa Belgian chocolate bars I got at Tuesday Morning, which only amounted to 7 oz. but I figured with the higher cocoa content and less sugar, it would be plenty.

10. After a proper chilling
I can tell you this is pretty awesome. Very dense and very chocolatey. I can only eat a small sliver of it.
