Made an Awesome Black Bean Soup tonight

I bought 1/2 dozen cans of black beans at Costco a while back and decided to get on out tonight. Here's what I wound up doing with it:


1 can black beans

about a 1/2 teasp onion powder

1/2 teasp of freshly ground tricolor pepper

1 Bay Leaf

1/2 cube of veggie bouillon

about a teasp of ground cumin

about 3 or 4 shots of liquid smoke

a little salt

Here's the extra special stuff:

about 1/2 Tablespoon if Spanish ground, smoked pimento powder.

I roasted two heads of garlic and added one to the bean pot.

Served topped with roasted veggie salsa.


The smoked pimento, roasted garlic, and roasted veggie salsa really took it to another dimension. :9 :9 :9

The only thing I lacked was some fresh crusty bread and a dollop of sour cream.
