I've got some Brats that are looking a bit freezer burned. think I can save them
with this recipe?

BRATWURST CASSEROLE

2 lbs. bratwurst
Potatoes
Onions
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can water
1/2 can milk

Skin bratwurst, cut in small chunks. Fry until brown. Pour off grease. Grease casserole, slice potatoes in casserole, then onions, then meat; repeat. Cover with soup, water and milk mixture. Add salt and pepper if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

"Freezer burn" is just slowly freeze-dried jerky basically. I take any meat like that and cook it in liquids and it always comes out fine. I had a 3 lb package of sirloin steaks that I lost in the back of the freezer for about a year-it looked about half dried. Made the best crock-pot chili.
