Disappointing Response From Target.

This sucks. One of my favorite stores, too. Damn. If you haven't written to them yet, PLEASE do! It just takes a second. Here is the original thread to refer to:

7. Having worked for a megacorp for many years

that letter is not as bad as you think it is. "your feedback is a big help to us..." is code for "we're listening, and if we get another letter or two like yours, we'll dump the product". Our corporation has dumped products and product lines after just a handful of complaints like the one you sent. Keep it up; if what you sent didn't have an effect, they wouldn't have replied the way they did. Keep up the good work!

BTW- Target is, sadly, a red company.

8. Should I write them another letter?

I have 2 choices, Wal-Mart or Target, and when weighing the options, Target was always my choice, hands down.

9. It wouldn't hurt

you might also include in your note that you are disappointed in their political contributions. Corporations get nervous when they discover that people ARE paying attention. Get your friends to write too; it usually takes at least ten hard copy letters to really start rocking the boat (e-mail has far less of an effect, for some reason).

Target is better than Wal-Mart, no doubt about that!
