Apollo 11 liftoff in super-slow motion - with commentary
Yeah, I know! We've all seen the films of the Saturn V rocket taking off, sometimes in slow motion. But, this recent post on the Bad Astronomy site has the launch in super-slow motion. Mark Gray, of Spacecraft Films provides a running commentary on every detail, from the burning of ablative insulation on the hold-down arms and towers to the darker gases in the exhaust (which come from the cooler gases driving the F1 engine's turbopumps.).

Fan-tastic!!!
:wow:
