10 Questions, and Answers, About Evolution
“Ten questions to ask your biology teacher about evolution,” a document by Jonathan Wells, a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute, a Seattle-based group that advocates intelligent design, aims to highlight the weaknesses in evolutionary theory. Here are his questions, along with responses compiled by the National Center for Science Education.

2. You are never going to convince frightened people
to accept a truth they find threatening. The change will come when evolution is presented to them as supportive of faith; which it certainly can be, and is, by many denominations. Unfortunately, conservative church leaders would rather exploit people's fear.

3. "Intelligent Design" just adds an inexplicable step. Who designed the designer?

4. 'Je n'avais pas besoin de cette hypothèse-là.'
'Je n'avais pas besoin de cette hypothèse-là.' (I had not need of that hypothesis.)

Laplace's reply to Napoleon regarding why he had not mentioned a creator in his five volume 'Mécanique Céleste' (Celestial Mechanics).
