Dissolving bodies with lye banned in NH
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) _ Dissolving bodies with lye as a cremation alternative is no longer legal in New Hampshire.

Gov. John Lynch signed a bill Thursday banning the new mortuary science that uses lye in hot water to dissolve bodies, according to spokesman Colin Manning.

The law, which took effect immediately, reverses a 2-year-old law that allows alkaline hydrolysis — a process now used on human cadavers in only two places, the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Alkaline hydrolysis had been legal in New Hampshire under cremation statutes.

The bill instead prohibits the process and establishes a committee to study how to regulate it. The committee must report to lawmakers by Nov. 1.

If your acidic personality attacks by basic commentary, the result would be a salt.
And some water, I guess.
