Why the Sun seems to be 'dimming'
Why the Sun seems to be 'dimming'

BBC, Jan 13

We are all seeing rather less of the Sun, according to scientists who have been looking at five decades of sunlight measurements. They have reached the disturbing conclusion that the amount of solar energy reaching the Earth's surface has been gradually falling.

Paradoxically, the decline in sunlight may mean that global warming is a far greater threat to society than previously thought.

...

Sunlight was falling by 10% over the USA, nearly 30% in parts of the former Soviet Union, and even by 16% in parts of the British Isles.

...

Burning coal, oil and wood, whether in cars, power stations or cooking fires, produces not only invisible carbon dioxide - the principal greenhouse gas responsible for global warming - but also tiny airborne particles of soot, ash, sulphur compounds and other pollutants. This visible air pollution reflects sunlight back into space, preventing it reaching the surface. But the pollution also changes the optical properties of clouds.

12. Chemtrails do not exist.
They are the bullshit scam interpretation of oddly colored (through tricks of light and shadow) condensation trails that aircraft always leave behind.

13. then you are not looking at the same sky I see
I've been watching the skies for a LONG time (my uncle was a pilot so I started sky watching when I was really really young) and I have never ever seen the stuff I see on a daily basis now since late '99 early '00.

You can *say* they ain't real but that doen't mean they don't exist......* something* more than jet contrails are floating, gelling and coalescing in the skies over my head that wasn't there a few years ago.

I am not claiming a giant evil plot- I am sharing what I see as something that was not around before and changes into something else in the sky . I see how it affects the weather and the amount of sunlight that we receive. If these are merely jet contrails, we are seriously screwed my friend.

I would simply like to find out more about them and not be told that what I ( and many others) see does not exist or that it is one thing when it clearly is NOT. Aren't you curious about what it could be?? or at least why the *contrails* seem different?

I can't believe people aren't even willing to consider the *possibility* that something strange and unexplained is going on - right over our heads....its obvious that there is plenty of strange stuff going on under our very noses since* took over.....

thats all I'm saying...no need to repeat your line that there is no such thing...I already know something is happening...I just want some truthful answers...not your same ol bs line. :)

14. I'm a telescope enthusiast
And so spend a lot of time under mostly clear skies.

At least here, near Chicago, I've seen nothing that doesn't look just like a condensation trail.

15. I wish you could see the skies here in the SW
this morning was another prime example ...greasy clouds sprad all over the south and above them more crosshatching of trails that left shadow on the clouds...... I have some photos of some very strange patterns, clouds, trails......

Clouds are not behaving the way they used to.....

I wish I could figure how to post some of my photos.....SOMETHING is very different about these "trails"......

7. Then it will be up to each and everyone of us
to imagine a brightening.

We do, afterall, spend so much time on the darkening that has overcome our world.

just a little bit.

8. I remember talking with my mother in the mid-1990's
about the fact that the sun didn't look as bright as it once did. She was born in 1928 and was in her mid 60's, I was in my early 40's. We wrote it off to the possibility that your eyes change as you age. Because it didn't make sense that there would be less light. Now I know.

10. I've been saying for years now that the sunlight "looks" different
...for at least the last 15-20 years that it just doesn't seem as bright or clear as when I was a little kid back in the 50's.....maybe its my artists eye but something is just not the same.......

I agree with bobthedrummer...I see more chemtrails and how quickly they can dim the sun.....much faster than when I first noticed them back around 2000.

sigh....this does not bode well for life as we know it on planet earth......

Vegas prestidigitators with a TV show even swore while covering it and sobbed at us about the dangers of believing evidence not vetted by them!

1) the program was making a subtle statement about the Kyoto Treaty and the lack of a US signature.

and/or

2) an argument for nuclear power. The program talked about how it was possible to burn fossil fuels more cleanly, but the burning still releases CO2, the reduction of which is the crux of the matter, according to the program.

On edit - having said all that, my impression of the "Horizon" programs is that they usually present subject matter in a fairly sensationalistic format seemingly designed to scare the living shit out of the audience. Which may not always be a bad thing....
