Religious Right vs Religious Left
From now on everyone should be clear on who in the religious group your are targeting.
There is the Religious Right who is controlled by the likes of Falwell and Robertson and have their grips on the republican party. This group is not interested in saving souls, but only in how they can control the masses (and I don't mean the Catholic service).
Then there is the Religious Left a much less visible group because they are the liberals who believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion. We are just now seeing some of those leaders speak out as in the press conference on Tuesday speaking out against bu$h's budget.
Not all Christians are radicals.
I really hadn't thought about the Religious Right & Left until I read the post and associated article "What would Falwell Do?"

1. I just hope
That liberal Christians won't silence non-Christians as godless heatherns destined for Hell. I hear that so much along with "Christian persecution", I could care less as long as I get heard.

2. Liberal Christians do not judge.
And they're not obsessed with hell like the fundies are.

3. ?????
OK but are people of other fiaths allowed in the conversation? We have rights as well. And opinions that need to be heard. The RW is obsessed with gay marriage and abortion but what about protecting the environment, creating jobs so people maybe able to work out of poverty, strengthing our economy, and do more scientific research for health and other sciences that can create useful technologies?

4. A good liberal and a good liberal Christian would allow anyone to
speak their own thought, opinions and beliefs.
That is the biggest difference between the right and the left.
And it does bother me when someone says to my kids that you can't be a liberal and a Christian because they are being hypocritical and casting stones.

5. My adult offspring are all liberal Christians.
I'm sure if they thought I was going to hell or if they thought my opinions were of no value they'd tell me, so at least three liberal Christians are open to the opinions of those of other faiths.
