Why is the $ issue with healthcare such a crazy issue. Do we not all pay a certain amt for

medicare? Why then wouldn't we base the costs on income, and charge thusly. Larger corporations already pay towards regular health insurance, what's the diff in changing billing addresses... More people in the pool, ie, the entire population, should reduce the costs to a business. I just don't understand why this is such a problem... For our family, we pay medicare costs and health insurance costs. Why not pay more for medicare and drop the health insurance off. I'm sure it would save us some money this way. AND yes, I would expect wealthy persons to pay larger % towards the medicare costs... and someone like a child, nothing because they do not have income.

doesn't want a penny of their precious money actually going to anybody else's children, let alone another adult. They presume if you're poor or otherwise can't get your own health insurance it's your own fault, and damned if they're going to support you with their hard earned money. (Never mind the infinite tax breaks, government grants, and other perks they or their families have gotten along the lines that helped them get where they are.)

Too many people are too damn selfish. The US has a very strong "I got mine so screw you" streak running through it, and the needier among us take the hit for it.
