Let the market decide on health care/insurance

I was just thinking, maybe we need a new term. We've been using "single payer" and to a lesser extent "Medicare for all".

I'm thinking that we might consider the idea and term, "Open Medicare" and even give a nod to the free marketeers in how this would work.

OK, so the opposition to Single Payer is significant. Not even al liberals are sure that it's what they want or what will work best. Medicare For All scares the fuck out of a lot of people, who think that it's the moral equivalent of going to a Health Department Clinic in New York City.

But "Open Medicare" suggests choice, and it's a choice that I believe most employers and individuals (aka letting the market decide) will make.
