I am very skeptical of green tea rotting your teeth...especially if you drink it plain.

Anyone know of this green tea rotting teeth thing?

1. do they also believe the world is flat, that
god created the world in 6 days, and that the big ditch in AZ was caused by god's little toe?

Green tea has nothing but health benefits. Calms the nerves, prevents cancer of the pancreas, prostate, breast, colon, and other body parts. It does nothing to your teeth.

2. Tea contains small amounts of natural Floride
which prevents cavities. Although black tea may stain your teeth, tea will not harm them.

5. Dunno
Sounds like propaganda from the Coca Cola company.

I do know it's great for the gums.

It might turn your pink hair green though.

11. She needs to google "green tea teeth health" and she'll find loads of articles/blurbs like this one:
Green can be good for your teeth!!
Asian health care providers have long talked about the positive effects of green tea for dental health. Studies now demonstrate how green tea works against bacteris that cause cavities in teeth. Green tea also contains flouride, which protects teeth from cavities. Green tea comes in a variety of flavors as well as decaffinated blends. Try some next time you're in the grocery store.

12. Only two things can rot your teeth.
And they generally do their best work together: sugar and acid.

There may be some very mild acidic compounds in green tea, but your friend is misguided. Maybe if you drank it super sweetened with sugar but otherwise no.

13. What rots your teeth are normal strep bacteria that live in
everybody's mouth that feed on sugars left on your teeth and shit acids. That effect is increased if you have poor oral hygiene and allow masses of sugars and bacteria to build up into placques. Those will eventually extend below the gumline and cause your teeth to topple out one by one as they're loosened from their sockets if you don't die from untreated abscess first.

Unless you load your green tea with tons of sweeteners and/or milk, you're pretty safe. Learn to enjoy it plain, and it might be beneficial as the heat kills off some of that bacteria.

14. I have been drinking it for the last 20 years.
At 61 I still have all my teeth. Maybe it is BECAUSE of the green tea.
