My husband has Rheumatoid Arthritis and recurring staph
infections. This will be the third time in about 6 years that he has gotten the infection. The staph has gone into his blood and bones in the past. He has completely lost the bone in his big toe. He gets hospitalized for about two weeks and then put into a nursing home so that he can qualify to get an IV. I would appreciate any advice I can get about staph infections from anyone who has experience with this. Thanks.

He's had one since June. He's on some sort of medicine cocktail.
Will report back when I find out something.....

4. Not an easy thing to do under Medicare; he's lucky he even
gets to see his doctors once a month. When asked about staph infections, all they say is that staph is on everyone and because his RA drugs lower his immune response, he is really susceptible. I was hoping to get responses from people who have had to deal with this and if they have gotten any concrete advice from their doctors or who know of any alternative treatments. Thanks.
