Self-storage firm boycotted for Prop. 8 support
http://www.ibabuzz.com/politics/2008/11/21/self-storage-firm-boycotted-for-prop-8-support/#comment-71520

The latest attempt to boycott a company associated with Proposition 8 targets a self-storage chain with several Bay Area locations.

Californians Against Hate founder Fred Karger said he’s running an online campaign to boycott San Diego-based A-1 Self Storage because of owner Terry Caster’s financial support of the constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. A-1 has 30 locations throughout California, including Oakland, Concord, Belmont and four in San Jose.

1. Could someone rent a storage space and fill it with dead fish?

2. I've rented a unit there in the past, long before this came up.
And I'm damn well not going to rent a space from them again. I am certain that the super-nice lady in the office there is lesbian. I wonder what she thinks of her boss' boss' boss supporting Prop 8 in a big way. The A-1 storage I want to has high security - cameras everywhere, the usual code to get in the entrance gate but also senors on each unit to know when it is opened, and if that unit doesn't match the code punched at the entrance gate by that unit's renter, it notifies the employees. Very tight security there.
