Seeking friends in the Atlanta area

I was born and raised in GA. In the late 1980s DH and I moved to New Orleans, which I loved very much. Katrina brought us back. We couldn't take the prospect of spending the rest of our lives evacuating every year, and katrina basically destroyed NOLA's economy. So here I am back in ATL, living in North Buckhead.

I'm a bit fragile and shy. I need a friend or 2 or 3. Gay men, bisexual women in particular would be nice. I'm just seeking friendships now. To learn more about me read my profile. Buckhead. Wow, sounds beautiful. Great book by the way, can't put it down. Although I'm straight and in Florida, I truly hope you will be happy back in GA and glad you're among us here at DU.

DU has been kind to me when I needed some kind words. Katrina was a heartbreaker for us who had to move. I am very lonely. It's hard to make new friends if one isn't an extrovert. I don't have kids.And my sister and her family out in Covington are really the average Bush supporting types.
