4. I remember when an OKC anchorwoman reported on a "homocide"

instead of a "homicide". Her co-anchor's jaw dropped as the camera zoomed in on her. It was a story about a murder at a local park. They had done a story earlier in month about that particular park being a gay hangout.

I was in high school at the time so it was back in the '70's. IIRC it was KOCO, channel 5 and the anchor was one of those former Miss Oklahomas they liked to hire to read news. Which reminds me, it may have been around the time that Anita Bryant was running around being an idiot. They must have had some "Former Miss Oklahoma" get togethers where they decided to combat the all-powerful gay agenda. :eyes:
