8. I had to laugh, although I take it you meant this seriously?
It just translated so well to "One of my best friends is black..."

Personally, I couldn't do it.

12. I think Obama is our best hope...
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 03:42 AM by and-justice-for-all
he can mingle with all those religious nuts all he likes, but I do not think that we should be supporting some who gave us "Don't ask, don't tell" and who voted for DOMA. Be it Bill or Hillary, makes no difference to me.

Do we really need another dynasty on the Hill? I voted for Obama here in Indiana last week, I voted early.

13. And yet Obama just picked up the endorsement of the guy who gave us DADT
If he ends up as running mate...

work real hard to convince yourself that there's really "hope".

16. Ditto
Obama is the best of the last standing. He's not perfect, so we shouldn't worship him or think he won't make mistakes. He will. But he has what it takes to turn things around.

and Congress gave us DOMA.

15. Hmmm...
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

-- William Shakespeare
