Gay Buying Power Continues To Grow

The total buying power of the adult LGBT population in the US has grown by some $30 billion over the past two years.

The latest analysis by Witeck-Combs Communications, a marketing firm specializing in the gay and lesbian consumer and Packaged Facts (a division of MarketResearch.com) shows that LGBT buying power in 2005 will reach $610 billion.

In 2004, the gay buying power projection was estimated at $580 billion.

Witeck emphasized also that “buying power does not merely suggest wealth nor does it imply that same-sex households are more affluent than others
