Unverified report from someone in the Capitol building: "Just heard that the vote will be an 'up/down' vote without speeches, etc like last time. Senators who vote for the marriage bill will raise their hand. (This is a great tactic to deflect the attention towards the last few GOP votes to pass the bill). This is good news to hear. (a CNN news reporter just told me)."

The bill still lacks many of the basic religious protections I thought were vital, and for this reason, and as I did in the Assembly, I will be voting ‘no.’” (Greg Ball: 5674 likes and decreasing).

This move brings the overall tally to 31 in favor, 29 opposed & two undecided. Though the State Senate is currently at ease, talks on rent regulations are set to resume at 8:00 p.m., followed by an expected vote on that legislation." (Be sure to "unlike" Greg Ball)
