A question please
I'm surfing Charity Village, a job site for non-profits in Canada and checked out 2 with Pride.

It talks about familiarity with

LGBTTIQQ2S

issues.

What is LGBTTIQQ2S?

Lesbian, Gay, Transexual, Transgender, ???

Google was no help.

9. That makes as much sense
as any other answer I've seen here.

It all seems a little too much.

2. IQQ is intersexual, queer, questioning, I think...
That's a prime example of when political correctness goes too far--when you can't even understand the acronym being used!

4. Isn't the letter thing getting a little out of hand?
I believe in including everybody, but once we get up to 10 letters, that's a bit much!

5. ..I have no idea what it means, but...
...I wouldn't work with them. It just seems that whenever I am around such people I seem to somehow offend them. Sometimes it's on purpose because folks like that annoy me. Why don't they just say 'Sexual Minorities'? It makes better sense. Or how about 'Advocates for Minority Rights'? Long ass acronyms like that piss me off and just look stupid. It's about as stupid as the debate over if the L comes before the G in LGBT/GLBT. What does it matter?

Some folks seriously need to get a life and get over themselves. If they have to quibble about a name it just tells me that they are disconnected from reality and the real world. I don't think a teenage lesbian cares if the L comes before the G if her Father is beating the shit out of her on a daily basis because he thinks that she is possessed by a demon. I don't think a transgendered person gives a shit if the T comes first or last when they can't actually go TAKE A SHIT in a public bathroom. ...and folks that argue over shit like this I just want to beat upside the head with a brick in a vain attempt to knock some common sense and human decency into their thick moronic skulls.

(Sorry this is a pet peeve.)

6. Meldread, I feel like you're trying to tell us something ...
... don't sugar-coat it, just spit it out!

:D

I agree with you. The whole alphabet thing is getting way out of hand. I thought when we switched to "queer" it was supposed to be an all-inclusive term. Alas, as with most disenfranchised groups, everyone has to grab a slice of the pie and we end up with unpronounceable "alphabet soup."

Geez, we're a creative bunch. At least that's the stereotype. Why can't we all get together and come up with one inclusive word?

C'mon now ... everybody join in ...

"I'd like to teach the world to sing ... in perfect har-mo-neeeeeeee ..."

7. The One Inclusive Word Is (TOIWI):
Human

...and yeah, that seems to be a reoccurring problem. I have a tendency to say what I am feeling. It's unfortunate for some folks, but very therapeutic for me. :P
