I contacted OPTIC in San Francisco. This is a group that helps transgendered in crisis. I was told that three members of the TG/TV community in NO were coming to SF as they are victims of Katrina.

What had sparked my call to OPTIC was this idea: The professional TV performers in NO have also lost, homes, personal possessions, jobs. So I wanted to start collecting items that would allow them to re=establish their careers, items such as sequins, feathers, fabrics, etc. OPTIC actually thought it was a good idea. I am contacting other costumers I know for donations.
