I am Losing a tenant (happy fathers day)

Ok I have a tenant who just gained custody of his nephew and niece. As his sister decided the inside of a vodka bottle was more to her lifestyle.
My tenant is now in need of a two bedroom, with a proper Living room and a dining area. I cannot accommodate, I just do not have that in my apartment building. He is leaving on good terms with me as he has been an exceptional tenant. He Helped around the building and proved himself to be a good friend.(as good as friends a Tenant and landlord can be.)

Well the only downside to this tale is. My tenants partner, while testifying as to why, they as a couple, would be best for the kids. he got caught in need to pay his own child support, to his ex wife.

So money may be tight for awhile for this brand new family with two dads.

I wish them all the best!

My only fear WAS bigotry in the court system and not allowing these two to take care of the Kids (6 and 9) and the Kids would be subject to Foster care.

NOPE I was wrong in my fears.

The court ruled just this past week granting them custody.

as it is about what is best for the kids and not narrow minded, institutionalized bigotry.



I just thought I would share a true heart warming story on fathers day.

2. Truth be told I hate

losing him as a tenant. He paid his rent on paydays, like clockwork without me even having to ask. He told me whom he saw vandalizing. took responsibility when he came home drunk and puked in the hallway. (sssh about that) that next day, he stopped me cleaning it up and finished the job for me.

I do say tenant as singular, as it is his lease. his partner came along about three months in, they have been there for two years now.
