Rep. Mark Souder – a Republican – is resigning because he had an affair with a female staffer.

So perhaps it’s not a surprise that he’s also a proponent of marriage being only between a man and a woman. He voted to Constitutionally ban gay marriage because, he says, it’s an assault on American values.

From Souder’s website:

“I believe that Congress must fight to uphold the traditional values that undergird the strength of our nation. The family plays a fundamental role in our society. Studies consistently demonstrate that it is best for a child to have a mother and father, and I am committed to preserving traditional marriage, the union of one man and one woman.”

So…mistresses are OK. But two gay people in a committed relationship? That’s anti-American.

So far, he hasn’t blamed gay marriage in DC for weakening his own marriage – but that’s gotta be the next step.

4. Marriage is between and man and a woman...

One at a time. Divorce is OK, it doesn't jeopardize the sanctity of marriage.

It's also OK to say you're not gay but to have quickies in the rest rooms of airports.

It's also OK to put on a diaper and take a dump in it while you're paying a whore to do kinky things.

It's also OK to pay for male prostitutes if you're a man being tormented from within (until you're caught).

Having an affair while the wife is in the hospital being treated for cancer? Sure, that's fine, after all she can't perform her wifely duties while laid up in the hospital, right?

Having an affair is OK as long as you condemn it in public (until you're caught).

Being a closeted gay while married is also OK if you condemn it in public and vote to prohibit equality for gays.

Having intimate E-mail correspondence with young male pages is also OK. You can ask them how big it is, if he's excited, etc., as long as the public doesn't find out. (GOP House leaders don't mind, because they all have secrets too, and they won't do anything about it.)

Hypocrite = Republican.

5. Yeah, look what happened

The guy is a perfect example. He works in DC. DC starts allowing gay marriage. Bam, the guy screws a staffer. Clearly gay marriage is a threat to "traditional marriage."
