Rent Boy "Lucien" (whom the Advocate identified as Jo-Vanni Roman) tells the Miami New Times all about his trip with anti-gay Christian right leader George Alan Rekers:

The male escort hired by anti-gay activist George Alan Rekers has told Miami New Times that the Baptist minister is a homosexual who paid him to provide body rubs, once a day, in the nude, during their ten-day vacation in Europe.

Rekers allegedly named his favorite maneuver the "long stroke" -- a complicated caress "across his penis, thigh... and his anus over the butt cheeks," as the escort puts it. "Rekers liked to be rubbed down there," he says.

The paper adds: "Although Rekers does have physical ailments that make it difficult for him to haul suitcases, Lucien wasn't hired to carry luggage on their European vacation, the escort says. 'It's a situation where he's going against homosexuality when he is a homosexual,' Lucien says. Lucien was interviewed late last night in the Fort Lauderdale house where he was laying low for the evening. The townhome he rents in a west Miami suburb has been inundated by uninvited guests since his identity was revealed by a blogger on Gawker shortly after the story broke."

Rekers, we remind you, was the state of Florida's star witness in support of the ban on gay adoption. For his testimony he and a colleague were paid $87,000.

I see the argument against this so many times, but then I see it proven time and time again. I'm not sure what to make of that argument.

18. Gore Vidal did a documentary that touched on this subject.

There's so much evidence that rabid, irrational homophobia is actually unnatural in heterosexual men. It's those that have truly repressed homosexual attractions that feel the need to "control" themselves by reacting in ways that straight men (especially young) just don't. Straight boys and men are comfortable in who they are. Vidal points to the violent attacks on drag queens where they are slashed and slashed over and over by other young men and points out that it wasn't enough just to kill her, but the young male felt compelled to destroy her because she mirrored something within himself that he so loathed and had so repressed. He also introduced some very interesting studies that suggest just this very thing: the greater the homophobia, the more likely there is rooted homosexual attraction deeply repressed within that individual.

This new story is just more along the same. I am a strong advocate of outing all reactionary gay men and have been for many decades now. Those who use public power to hurt GLBT citizens deserve zero tolerance in protecting their lie. They are not my brothers in arms. They are the enemies of my community and I have zero pity for them. Zero.

how ANYONE could donate to that group is beyond my comprehension. They're giving money to people like Rekers who uses it to by hot chicken for, what $20000?, trips to Europe for daily sex with someone 40+ years his junior.


They're a bunch of sick self-hating whackjobs... I knew one (too) well that's in his 20's... They are spiritually ill. They believe the bible condemns them when in fact it does nothing of the sort if they spend any length of timing understanding the relevance of the terms and meaning of the words used - so instead, they end up doing what this Rekers asshat did, and go on prostitute-party vacations when they get older and feel lonely.
