I was upset with the "don't ask don't tell" policy. It seemed to be a bit of a baby step in bull shit.

In a NUT-shell, here is how I read into the policy...
Yes, we want homosexuals in the military, but we don't want homosexuals in the military. If you are homosexual, we want you in the military, just don't be homosexual.

Someday we will get it straight, and allow it to be other than straight... The current state of affairs is truly embarrassing.

Just a Christian, but I would rather have a highly trained and talented soldier next to me. Trust me when the bullets are flying, or we are just sitting down for a meal, I could give a shit what the background or orientation of the soldier next to me is from.

Jut like in life, we are all just brothers and sisters who should do their best to get along. Arbitrarily keeping people out of the military is a waste of talent and we are only doing ourselves harm by perpetuating it. The stupid... It does indeed burn.
