What else can we legislate through the voters?
Who else can have their rights taken away?

I say we find out! Let's make a list of the rights that we should have the authority to legislate.

1) Since America is supposedly a Christian nation, it stands to reason that all people must be Christians. No more Atheists. No more Jews. No more Muslims. No more anything. Everyone. All Christian, all the time.

2) Mixed race marriages. This is wrong and immoral. All men and women involved in a relationship are required to be the same race. We are, of course, thinking only of the children.

3) Mixed religion marriages. This goes back to number 1, of course. Once it's an all Christian nation we won't have to worry about this any longer.

4) The right of women to vote. We all know this is a man's world and women should not have any say in running it.

5) The right of women to work outside the home. This is just wrong on every level. Women should be at home taking care of the children and making more babies.

So that should start the list.

And to those who keep muttering for us to be patient. To give it time. I'm sorry. I gave it 45 years. How much more time do you want me to give it? Seriously?

I guarantee each and every one of you, if you had a loved one who was stripped of a fundamental right you would be doing the same as we are. Venting our frustrations that it is almost 2010 and we are still being relegated to minority status, and 'legally'.

I do not want to be the 90 year old gay couple who stand up to say their vows and die a few weeks later. That's just not good enough for me anymore.e

1. Excellent analogies.
Rights should not be subject to a ballot.

2. I can interpret the Bible in a way that dictates we should all be vegans.
No meat or cheese for anyone!!1! Not in this "Christian" nation.

Yup, ridiculous.

3. I say we should have the right to vote on everyone's marriage
If Sid and Bernice want to get a license, it has to be approved by the voters first.

4. Pork
Well if this is a Christian nation then pork must be abolished because that is an abolishment to god.

5. Don't forget fashion.
All those people prancing about in clothing products of multiple fibers. What is to be done about them? WHAT SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?!

6. A few more for the list
1. Ban pork and shellfish. Leviticus says they're abominations and this nation was founded on Christian principles so if people want those filthy, ungodly foods they can move to Canada.
2. Stone women who aren't virgins on their wedding night. Hey, it's what the Bible dictates.
3. Ban divorce. God hates divorce, and Jesus himself denounced it. The only way to truly "protect marriage" is to make it forever.
4. No gold or pearl jewelry. Suck it Jared, your jewels are un-Biblical.
5. Forget throwing bratty children off the plane. Have a good old-fashioned stoning as the Bible commands.
6. You have your period? Stay far away from everyone for a week and burn anything you touched during your dirty time. I guess your family can fend for themselves or starve because God says you have cooties when you're on the rag.

7. Ban wealth

Since we'll have to be Christians and Jesus encouraged the rich man to give away all his possessions. "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

"No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

8. Divorce, just to carry forth with the Sanctity o' Marriage routine
Divorce has got to go. Jebus hated it and so we need a referendum. All divorces void, return to first spouse and shut the fuck up about it. God's law and all. One man, one woman. Forever and ever.

9. Trouble is: the same people who voted away gay rights would be just fine with your list
Take away their right to marry -- or own guns -- and then they might get your point.

10. I think we should traumatize fat people next. They could be thin if they wanted to be.
Sorry fat people, I love you all, but there are limits -- okay? And stop comparing your persecution to others! If it's valid, it can stand on it's own, you don't need to compare yourselves to other civil rights movements. Are we clear?

Glory to God, Praise the Lord, His will be done.
