More bodily function chat--I need a good smoothie recipe
I know, I know. Eating is a bodily function, but still.

I need a good smoothie recipe if someone has one.

Thanks!

1. My idea of a smoothie
is a milk shake. With lots of black cherries and vanilla ice cream and milk.

That's not what you're looking for, is it?

And I'm thinking, "Where can I get one of those. I don't need one of those. Where is a Steak And Shake? Who needs Steak And Shake- go buy some ice cream. I don't need one of those. If .......

5. LISTEN TO ME!!!!
You'll feel bad if you drank this so late at night. Acid reflux. Bloated. Lactose intolerance. Brain freeze.

I'm sorry........................

6. Thank you , ten minutes to go before the corner store closes.
I'll have a cig and make a really cold diet coke, and then it will be too late.

7. And you'll still have the enjoyment of
brain freeze, if you make it cold enough.

Ever throw a hit of Rose's Lime Juice in your diet Coke?

It's nice.

I used to love Diet Coke With Lime, but when I found out about Pepsi's gay-friendly stance, I switched. Diet Cherry Pepsi - very nice................

2. Individual-sized container of vanilla yogurt. Frozen blueberries. Applejuice
banana, ice, blend. Throw in some protein powder if you've got it.

I know, it's not really a recipe. It's a list of ingredients.

Blueberries, strawberries, organic granola and sprinkles.

12. No, but it helps make the smoothies colder, versus adding more ice. nt

3. this may sound weird but it's yummy
a handful or two of frozen raspberries, a frozen banana,
apple juice... then add a big hunk of ginger root and a half dozen mint leaves.
Blend until the mint leaves are no more.

mmmm yum

works just as well with strawberries, blueberries, mango, papaya, whatever....

9. You need to get Almond Milk - Unsweetened.
Magnesium is in almonds. Good for digestion.

14. Yummy! great idea for a smoothie. I can get my kids to consume
foods in smoothies that they won't touch prepared any other way.

15. Adding flax seed is a great idea. Does it have to be ground? Is it
easily digestible as whole seed versus ground?

16. didn't know the answer....
but a quick google search said that if you have them whole...
the good Omega3 oils pass right through without being utilized.

I have an old coffee grinder that I use.
I buy the seeds in bulk and keep them in the refridge.
