The Conservatives have offered to let the federal government quickly pass a $4.6-billion budget bill in exchange for a delay in same-sex marriage legislation.

The Tories are willing to pull back their opposition to an NDP-inspired budget amendment, House Leader Jay Hill said Wednesday.

But there's a catch: they don't want to see a vote on the same-sex marriage bill until the fall.

I must admit - turnabout - it's the first thing that came to my mind when I heard the budget had been passed without a peep from Harper...

It doesn't seem to matter who you vote for in Canada, these days...whoever wins seems to morph into the "corporatist party..."

I might have to vote NDP next time...sniff...
