It would be interesting to have a tally of that.

1. I gave a year of my time as a mod and way too much $
No more. Not for a place that treats me and my brethren like this.

2. I really think the mods/admins are trying
Events like this one really suck hard.

But if you come up with another place, let me know (and we can let the mods/admins know so they can come hang out and have fun with the party crowd--at least we'll have better music playing...)

3. It's not the moderators fault
Shit rolls downhill. The administrators set the tone.

5. Yes, the buck stops with the people who run the joint.
They are the ones who decided to more or less drop the rules and let 'er rip during the primaries.

The result is that we had literally hundreds of people troop in here and act like they were on a Yahoo message board, and there were no consequences for it. They couldn't be bothered to learn the local culture and the admins couldn't be bothered to teach them.

As a result, they changed DU into something more like the Stanford Prison Experiment than a community, and I don't think that anything can bring back the DU that we had before.

I agree. It's the fault of the management, not the volunteer admins who give it all they've got to try to hold back the tide of hatred and filth.

6. Trying to drive people away?
Well then, they're doing a hell of a job.
