2. That's a nice memorial. I didn't realize he was the first person in his family to go to college.

I could speculate that the blue-collar insecurity syndrome may have played into his suicide at an underlying level.

When blue-collar moves into the white-collar/college grad world -- the sense of not quite fitting in, not being quite good enough.
