Brewer ordered to stop using 'Legal Weed' caps
SACRAMENTO (AP) — Vaune Dillmann thought the wording on his bottle caps was just a clever play on the name of the Northern California town where he brews his beer — Weed.

Federal alcohol regulators thought differently. They have ordered Dillmann to stop selling beer bottles with caps that say "Try Legal Weed."

While reviewing the proposed label for Dillmann's latest beer, Lemurian Lager, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau said the message on the caps he has been using for his five current beers amounts to a drug reference.

In a letter explaining its decision, the agency, which regulates the brewing industry, said the wording could "mislead consumers about the characteristics of the alcoholic beverage."

The 'gubbermint' worried the sheeple will be mislead?

2. Irony is alive. You can't mention one of the most benign drugs on packaging...
for one of the most dangerous drugs out there.

3. Interestingly, hops can be grafted onto cannabis roots
and the result is hops with THC. From above ground, it looks like ordinary hops. Probably brews up in beer like ordinary hops too. Maybe there's more behind this story than meets the eye.

4. How about: "If our beer doesn't work, try Prozac!"
"Amounts to a 'drug reference!?!"
Do these idiots watch the evening news? There are more drug ads for whatever ails you than you can shake a stick at. Not to mention the plethora of prints ads on drugs.
Oh yeah, those are LEGAL drugs...but so is medicinal pot in california.
Besides, hopps are related to canabis.
What's the big freak'n deal here any way?
