Eagle Forum Blasts "Personhood" Initiatives

People for the American Way's blog Right Wing Watch reports that the anti-abortion Eagle Forum has expressed opposition to so-called "personhood initiatives" that seek to criminalize abortion by considering fetuses as legal people--thus making it law that life begins at conception rather than birth. Eagle Forum argues that it hurts the reputation of pro-life activists.

Which begs the question: what is one good reason to make abortion illegal, if science and law differentiate persons and fetuses?
