Please help me with this one problem
When comparing a Victorian-style house to a woman, what compares to the woman pulling back her shoulders and sticking out her chin--that sort of thing? Eaves? Turrets? I know so little about architecture. . .

1. Dunno, but the fully restored ones
especially in the Queen Anne style, are commonly called "painted ladies."

3. Are gargoiles (sp) Victorian? Probably not, they do jut out - but
you could probably only use it if you were describing a witch woman
