Epic Stanley Cup Finals. The Broad St. Bullies get crosschecked yet, again.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/31/sports/hockey/31slapshot.html?ref=hockey Interesting. The Philadelphia Flyers get hammered for being thugs. Isn't that why people tuned in? Weren't the Seventies and early Eighties the high-water mark for the sport? My high school years were spent following the Flyers and I know they indulged in just a little bit of brawling. But, hell that's what made it fun to watch. To see who Dave "The Hammer" Schultz would rough up next. The thing is, they could play some serious hockey. The Islanders that followed were just as rough. Disagree with Klein and Hackel, here.
