Penguins beat Wings 3-2 back in the series
Sidney Crosby scored twice and Adam Hall added one as the Pittsburgh Penguins skated to a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final at Mellon Arena on Wednesday.

The Penguins have now won 17 straight games at Mellon Arena, dating back to the regular season. After not registering their second shot until late in the first period, the Penguins outshot the Red Wings 34-24 in the game.

All of those self styled "experts" predicting a sweep after 2 games apparently hadn't counted on the resilience of the young Pens. Sidney Crosby was all over the ice as no longer were the robotic Red Wings able to hold the Penguins big players in check. I'm sure the home ice advantage, both the crowd and the benefit of the final change, had a lot to do with tonight's outcome. One more victory and, lo and behold, we'll have a brand new series.
