Jerry Jones takes Dallas Cowboys' loss hard
I swear I couldn't be happier if the 49ers had won their 6th ring!

Owner says sting of this loss is unlike any he's felt with team

By ALBERT BREER / The Dallas Morning News
[email protected]

IRVING – The idea of defeat didn't enter Jerry Jones' mind until it was too late to win.

And by then, thoughts of an unraveling this grand – a 13-3 season ending with a playoff loss to the Giants – were almost too hard to process.

"I don't want to take anything away from our regular season," Jones said. "But our undoing here tonight undid a lot of things we had a lot of pride in. These players have a right to enjoy their individual honors, but every one of them would trade that to be playing here next week.

"This is very hard."

2. Cowboys whimped out. They had a golden chance to win...
..but went flaccid at the Moment of Truth.

My republicon-inspired konservative komassion message to JJ: Too frickin bad.

5. The thing that really jinxed it
Is when the players picked up their tickets for family and friends, he included tickets for the NFC Championship game. Don't tempt the gods with that crap! See: Oilers v Bills and biggest comeback ever.

6. See also: 2001 Rams.
I remember Georgia Frontiere showing off the the design of the Rams' Super Bowl rings right after the NFC championship had just been played. That's just asking for it.

I might hate them more than I love mny own team. First the loss, then T.O. crying and making absurd statements and now Jones' lament. I love it. It keeps getting better.

12. Fortunately Jerry Jones has never been indicted or convicted of felonies...
Eddie DeBartolo

Hmmm. Maybe there should be an asterisk after the 49'ers SB's!

And yes, that image still hurts even after all these years. Congrats on that. However, I do like the Cowboys' overall playoff record vs. SF - 5 wins, 2 losses.

trying to buy the influence of a governor!

21. Yes, mine. All of my money and loyalty I've given
to the franchise has to count for something.

The Super Bowls and playoffs games I watched with sweat pouring off of my forehead?

Yes.

to bring in some of those players to win those championships.

THINK MAFIA!

though he may have cheated.

24. At least Robert Kraft doesn't roam the sidelines like he's
the fantasy football coach Jerry Jones pretends to be.

Kraft only supports right wingers for president.

I wonder which of Jones' calls cost Dallas the game against New York?

27. Not quite...
There's always the Bidwells of the St.Louis/Arizona Cardinals, the owner du jour of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and Peter Angelos of the Baltimore Orioles.

28. Well at least there are no expectations in Pittsburgh.
There are marginal expectations, at the most, in Phoenix.

Angelos really has become one of the worst owners. Strange.

But there are very high expectations in S.F.

And these York people don't have a clue what they're doing.

They know nothing about the NFL or sports.

pretty much sealed the deal for the Cowboys third Super Bowl win.
