Yes, Oh Yes, I'm Picking The Patriots This Week
Brady is gonna throw like 10 touchdowns.
Dillon is gonna run for like 300 yards.
Belicheck will go right from the sidelines of Pittsburgh to Canton.

Rothlisberger will curl up in the fetal position after the second quarter and refuse to enter the game after halftime.

Jerome Bettus will develop the flu and drop 40 lbs two days before the game.

Oh yes, the Pats are winning and going on to the Superbowl.

You heard it here first.

Magic Rat's Fearless Predictions continue. GO PATS!!!!

2. Pennsylvania will win the Super Bowl
Resistence is Futile. It's just a matter of which end of PA will win.

3. Can I have some of what you're smoking???
While I'm admittedly a die-hard Steelers fan, I find your prediction quite laughable.

It's perfectly reasonable, following this past weekend, for the Pats to be favored. But Corey Dillon running for 300 yards? Please. The Steelers are the #1 defense in the NFL. He'll probably gain around 70-80 yards, just like every other top back that played against them this year.

Brady throwing for 10 touchdowns? Please, again. It's unlikely that the Steelers D will hold the Pats w/o a touchdown as they did the Jets, but I doubt that Brady will light it up, either.

Bellichik is going to be a hall-of-fame coach. But he has to retire first in order to get there.

Roethlisberger may struggle, he may prove that last week was an abberation. Who knows. But I doubt he'll "curl up in the fetal position and refuse to come out after halftime". Anybody who's seen him play this year can't deny that the kid has a ton of guts. He played hurt for the last several weeks of the season, prior to the Buffalo game.

I'll call from the stadium with updates if you're interested.

10. I was not happy on Saturday. I passed on the Jets tickets assuming the
Stillers would walk away with the game. Losing the coin toss in overtime nearly killed me.

The tailgating starts at noon on Sudnay.

11. A roller coaster ride of emotions to be sure.
Edited on Mon Jan-17-05 01:05 PM by LiberalVoice
I was at my friends house watching the game and I have never seen 9 people exhibit completely different emotions at the same time while watching the same thing.

When the Jets missed that first feld goal I flipped but I swear I was delirious when they missed the second one.

It was the happiest moment of my life.

22. As a Raider fan living on the edge of your seat seems normal to me
In ways it feels like NFL has Raiderized the entire NFL. You just can't tell from one week to next what will go on. Like we can live and die by it, but to some it's just a game. People bag on the parity in the league, but to rest of the sports world, the NFL is the envy. Hearing Micheal Ervin say he understood when fans in Philly where celebrating when his neck got cracked kind of makes you think about things a little more. Thank heavens nobody has gotten killed in one of those games.

7. Ward, Randle El, Burriss? Sound familiar?
It is going to take some kind of effort to stop a vastly better receiving corp than they did yesterday. I don't know. I am not good at "picking" games but if I was I would go with the Steelers.

21. How about Harrison, Stokely, and Wayne?
The Pats stopped them, so they can stop Ward, Randle El, and Burris.

However, stopping the Steelers run is gonna be a little tougher...

8. What if all the sports folks went on strike til war was over?
All football, baseball, soccer, hockey, etc. players went on strike to end the war? Now there is a revolution that would get some attention!
