Shaq and the All-Star Game
Does anyone here at DU think Shaq should not be in the All-Star game? I know the fans voted for him, but I do wonder why he was even on the ballot in that he missed so many games. I realize that Yao Ming is injured and will not be able to play even though he was voted in by the fans, but I do not mind him being on the ballot in that I think he went down much later than Shaq. In addition, while he was still playing, Ming was having a great year.

Does anyone know how the selection for the All-Star game goes? I used to think that the NBA or people within the NBA selected the players and then the fans just selected the starters. This year with Shaq being voted in the game even though he played very little I wonder how the selection. It is not that I dislike Shaq it is just that I do not see how someone can get into the an All-Star game when they barely played during the year. So, how do others feel?
