A kind email from an Avalanche fan to her Red Wings fan friend

I am the Red Wing fans. Today, I received a very nice email from an unexpected source, an Avalanche fan who is a friend of mine. I'm going to post it because it reminds me that sometimes people remember that sportsmanship really does still exist in sports!

"Hey - I have been thinking about you since I watched the game last night - don't really know what to say. It totally sucks, that's for sure. I thought the Wings were going to be the ones to take it all this year. So, I hope you're doing okay. I know it's not the end of the world and it's only a game, etc., but I always get so worked up about the playoffs, that it takes me awhile to get over it when we get knocked out (hopefully you handle these things better than I do!).

And here we are in Denver freaking out, because we practically swept Dallas, and we figured they were going to totally kick our butts (of course, I went to the game on Friday when we lost, but it was still fun!). So there went the 1st and 2nd seed teams right away, go figure . . .

Anyway, just wanted to let you know I feel your pain, sister (and I'll probably be feeling mine pretty soon here, too!)"
