Michigan-Ohio State game being preempted by cartoons on the West Coast?
This is really unbelievable. I emailed our local station (KOMO) about this. It's not as if it's educational programming! It's just a lot of cartoons with a blitz of Christmas advertising.

I THINK we might get the game on ESPN, but I don't feel that I can depend on it.

1. That happens frequently in the West
I know all about those cartoons. We'll get some garbage bonus Pac 10 game late in the afternoon on ABC at the expense of a good early game from the east or midwest. Everyone gets the midday game, the 3:30 Eastern starting block. Ohio St/Michigan has been bumped before via the same criteria. Not when both teams are highly rated but in other years like this where both teams have multiple losses.

2. I've seen other games bumped, but never this one
at least not in Seattle. It was the one game we could count on.

3. Yeah, the regions can vary dramatically
I don't have the college football TV link for this week, but just look at the FOX distribution map for Sunday and you can see how wild it is. You get a different game in Seattle than we do in Las Vegas. The east and midwest always vary even more significantly. We've definitely missed out on Ohio St/Michigan here before because I remember having bets on the game and not being able to watch unless I went to a sportsbook.

4. Unreal! The whole map is crazy
Of course, our local channels are notorious for saying they're going to show one thing and then actually showing another.
