ATL Braves
Really effin choked in September didn't they?!? What an embarrasment to the City - they held an 8 1/2 game lead in the wild card race earlier this month and this morning their season is over.

Thankfully, ATL is in the middle of the SEC and great college football this time of year.

1. I felt so bad for the people who stayed there until almost midnight
to see defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. They were looking at a nice 3-2 lead at the top of the ninth when Kimbrel fell apart and then it was just painful after that.

I'm a life-long Phils fan, RT, but having lived through our own horrific late-season fall-apart when I was a little girl (way back in 1964), I have nothing but sincere sympathy for the team and its fans. I actually felt kind of sick for them last night, after seeing that one shot of the little Braves fan crying.

The men in my house had no such feelings, though. They hung in and were cheering for Charlie to set a franchise win record for the Phils.

Both teams should be equally skewered.

5. The real problem I have is that after this spectacular collapse there really
won't be meaningful changes in Boston...this is a team that hasn't given a shit for a few years now...and they need new blood to do that, starting at the top.

Anyway, good luck for next year!

4. Major difference with Boston
Braves don't have the payroll and 50% of the innings pitched in September were by rookies. Braves are not arrogant assholes and the bottom line is that they could not score in the end. They just ran out of gas.
