6. Pelini, if I'm not mistaken, is an Ohio State grad, so for that d-bag the switch is a homecoming

7. Correct, fish.
Grew up in Youngstown and went to Cardinal Mooney with the Stoops. Odd. I don't see any temper tantrums from them.

4. Pellini's actions don't change my mind about Big Red...
...still looking forward to having them in America's Premier Athletic and Academic Conference. The best fit available. And looking forward to spending the weekend in Lincoln a year from now.

Do the name Woody Hayes strike a familiar note?

Hell, is that who Pelini played under in the Big 10? Maybe its where he got his moves...?

take some pay raises. Breaking the old fashioned yard markers years ago in a game against Michigan is one of my favorite crazy things any coach has ever done. He was a passionate man. Pelini; "After graduating from Youngstown Cardinal Mooney High School (the same high school as Oklahoma Sooners Head Coach Bob Stoops), he went on to play free safety for Ohio State University Buckeyes under Earle Bruce and later John Cooper from 1987 to 1990, as a starter in his last two years."

Late in the 1971 rivalry game against Michigan in Ann Arbor, furious over what he thought was a missed defensive pass interference foul committed by Thom Darden of Michigan, Hayes stormed onto the field, launched a profanity-laced tirade at the referee, Jerry Markbreit, and tore up the sideline markers, receiving a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. A further enraged Hayes then proceeded to throw the penalty flag into the crowd, began destroying the yard markers and threw the first-down marker into the ground like a javelin before being restrained by Buckeyes team officials; Hayes was then assessed an additional 15-yard penalty and ejected. Hayes was suspended for one game and fined $1000. On the next play after Hayes' tirade, the Buckeyes' star linebacker, Randy Gradishar, was ejected by Markbreit for punching Wolverine quarterback Tom Slade through his facemask, starting a 10-minute brawl.

On edit , bigger assholes, the Arkansas football coaching staff, Bobby Petrino & John L Smith both former Louisville coaches that super fucked over their team in season for $$$$$$. I don't like Loservlle and they are easier to beat now but what those pricks did was wrong.

I think Woody really wanted to still play. Wrong, but what a lust for winning.

13. Tressel's successor??
I would hope The Vest has many years left. He looks like the kind of coach who never tires of the game. Who can blame him with the talent and his coaching abilities?

14. Oh, he's said he feels very healthy and will go a while longer. My hope is that he will end his
career going 14-1 against the Blew, to make up for Cooper.

15. Rumors false. Martinez did not quit the team - but is injured
Edited on Wed Nov-24-10 10:26 AM by SpiralHawk
"We talked for half an hour after the game, and it's over. A dead issue," according to BadAss Bo.

"Martinez missed another day of practice Tuesday, and his status remains in question for Nebraska's game Friday against Colorado. His left foot is still in a boot because of a toe injury, but Martinez's right ankle, which he reinjured Saturday against Texas A&M, is the main concern, Watson said."
