How is Willie Mays?
Seriously, he couldn't make it to the ceremony last week. All it said was that he was sick.

I sure hope that he will be well and revel in the first Giants championship since he made The Catch in 1954.

1. Hope so to and for all the Aaron Lovers
Both Joe Morgan and Tim McCarver have both stated that Willie was the greatest player they ever saw play. McCcarver said it just the other day and Morgan is always calling for a Willie Mays award for the best player of the year.
How did Aaron all of a sudden become the greatest living player(just saw it by a columnist on ESPN)?

Make no mistake -Willie- the greatest- only player to hit 50 homers 10 years apart-voted player of the decade in the sixties- He would have hit 800 homers in practically any other park plus he was in the military.
Aaron had longevity. Willie was better.

2. I most certainly hope he'll be there, too
He was my childhood hero.

Oh, and about that Catch.

3. Best Player ever was JOHN GOCHNAUR
Everyone knows it is not Aaron, Mays, Ruth, Gehrig or Mantle. It was big John,

End of Argument.

5. I thought it was Joe Slobotnik

4. Mr. Mays was at the opener of the WS
He was in a wheelchair and briefly rose to wave to the crowd. And yes, he was the greatest ever imo. And more importantly, he was the greatest in the opinion of everyone who actually played with or against him.
