Broadcaster Jim Nantz sacked in divorce settlement
Edited on Wed Nov-04-09 12:28 PM by Auggie
(AP) November 4, 2009

CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz must pay $916,000 yearly in alimony and child support to his ex-wife and give up their Connecticut home under terms of a newly issued divorce decree.

The ruling dissolves the 26-year marriage of Nantz and Ann-Lorraine “Lorrie’’ Carlsen Nantz. It comes after both testified about the breakdown of their marriage; Judge Howard Owens concluded neither was at fault. Although Nantz, 50, acknowledged he started dating a 29-year-old woman before the divorce was final, the judge concluded the marriage deteriorated years earlier and “this remote event in no way contributed to the breakdown of the marriage.’’

Under the ruling, Nantz must pay $72,000 in alimony monthly until he dies or his ex-wife remarries, and another $1,000 weekly in child support for the next two years.

$72,000 a month.

Holy flying baby shit...

on edit: Nantz, 50, earns reportedly over $7 million a year. No pity here.

1. $72,000 for alimony but only $1,000 for child support?
I wonder how these numbers are caluculated?

3. Looks like the child totals $52,000 yearly
I want to know how you rationalize needing $72,000 a month to live on? That's really fucked up.

4. Two kids versus one wife...although i suppose the upkeep of the house
benefits the kids...let's just hope this $72,000 isn't all for botox.

2. No pity from me either...I figure he deserves it anyway for
being such an annoying football game commentator, although his buddy, Phil Simms, is a bigger bozo, IMO.

And those three on MNF...

fucking yahoos...all of them. I HATE hearing their voices.

8. W sat him at Liz and Phil's table at the state dinner for them. They watch a lot of golf at
the Buck House. It comes on at dinnertime there, so they are very familiar with Nance.

It was one of the few smart things the Bush White House did.

11. Faldo will be itching to throw the needle next year on CBS
I doubt he'll do it, unless Nantz opens the door.

Faldo has had high profile divorce settlements and subsequent relationship breakups, covered relentlessly in the British press.
