Literally, for anyone who missed it. He was putting for eagle above the hole on the 13th hole and drilled it beyond the hole and into the creek. Officially, it goes down in the stats as a missed green even though he putted for eagle! He pitched his 4th to the green and made bogey.
The Masters is phenomenal due to the slopes and variables. No margin for error and baffling to me no other venue can approximate it. David Toms addressed a putt but took too long and his ball blew away and rolled 40 feet down a slope and off the green.
On another hole, Tiger hit a massive drive and a brilliant sand wedge, but it clanked the bottom of the pin and kicked into the bunker on a downslope. He ended up with bogey. On the following tee, Tiger was so out of sync he hit behind the ball with a driver and his shot ended up in the left trees, settling less than 100 yards off the tee. But it was a par 5 and he drained a 25 foot putt for par.
Tiger's swing is better than last year, but he's still overswinging too often and blowing it to the right. The biggest difference I see from 2000 is his hands at the top of the swing, the wrists cupped in a strange fashion.
