I love baseball. I just felt it was important to say that.

That's right.
I love baseball.
I was born the year the Dodgers left Brooklyn and broke their hearts forever.
My Daddy took me to the Polo Grounds to see the Mets play in '62 and they had a player named Choo-Choo Coleman.
I was like 8 years old.
I was hooked.

I have spent countless hours watching and listening to baseball games since then.
As my Dad was dying in a VA hospital in Albany, New York I drove home to my sisters house 60 miles away and listened to baseball on the radio.
David Cones perfect game with the Yankees.

I love baseball.

I watched the Red Sox v Angels game tonight and now I'm watching the Rockies and the Giants.
I can see October from my balcony.
Playoff baseball is coming and I've seen four decades of playoff baseball in my life.

Baseball, has been berry, berry, good to me.

I love this time of year and yes, I love baseball.

1. When I think of baseball, I think of the sport of our fathers and grandfathers
For my parents honeymoon, my dad took my mother to Chicago for a Cubs game. How romantic. His father played semi-pro ball:

To me, baseball is about tradition, and a simpler way of life. Pure.

2. I love baseball also!!
Just one question - if you were born in 1957, how did you age 8 years in 5 years?
If you did see Choo-Choo play at Polo Grounds, it could have been 1962 or 1963.
He also played for the Mets in 1966, but that would have been at Shea.
