Frisco Chokers lost to Atlanta 11-3!!!
Man, I fucking hate Atlanta with a passion. What they did to the Frisco Chokers was really funny though.

11-3 blowout.

I bet the twins are pissed.

1. Looks like you have nothing better to do this summer now than to watch the
Giants.

I told you you guys would choke.

I.told.you.

3. Losers of 4 out 5 to Atlanta, San Diego and Pittsburgh
Remind me again what a shitty division the NL East is again?

You're shitty Giants just got blown out by Atlanta!!!!

Pansey Panda shows how clutch he is leaving six men on base, going 0-4 and striking out twice.

went 0-4 (0-1 with RISP)..not much of a help to his team is he?

7. With 1 RISP as oppose to Pansey WITH 6 RISP?
Wright was pitched out of the zone ALL NIGHT.

Can't say the same for Pansey.

Francoeur got himself a dinger. He keeps that up Wright is gonne start getting more pitches to hit.

Frisco sucks. And they are completely healthy.

11. Here we go with the out of the zone excuse again
and throw in the Chokers are unhealthy too.

Were the Chokers unhealthy when they blew the division lead in Sept.the last 2 years?

15. You poor thing
you really need help.

Can't deal with the disaster that is the Frisco Chokers. Must really be painful when you spend your days talking shit and get your due comuppance.

The Mets last season performed as they should have down the stretch when Wagner went down. They didn't have bullpen depth and blew games. They performed to expectations at that point. That's not choking.

In 07 they did choke.

This year they are injured and have lost every major player in their offense spare one. A guy no one will pitch to.

Your Frisco Chokers are this seasons 07 Mets. They are nothing more than a mirage mainly due to interleague play. Everyone else is catching up to the Frisco Chokers and they are fading away into the sunset. They have no injuries and are completely healthy. Even Chicago, the team you and your twin busted on all season, is catching up.

The mets are banged up up and down the lineup. It is a reasonable excuse.

Pansey has more protection in the lineup than Wright does and just went 0-4 with 6 RISP. His average has been steadily dropping the last three weeks.

20. Oh I see..more injury excuses
well at least we're getting somewhere, you now freely admit the 2007 Mets were chokers. May I suggest that a team with true character would have overcome Wagner's injury and won in 2008. The choked both years...hence the accurate moniker, The NY Chokers.

23. You're argument boils down to selective dismissvness
I win.

you lose.

Are you a 9/11 conspiracy theorist as well?

Your lousy logic seems to fit in well with that crowd.

And you are royally behind the curve on a lot of things. I never denied that the 07 Mets choked. If you had the attention span of even a Lima Bean you'd have figured out that I've been saying for months that the Frisco Small Fries are this years 07 Mets.

And no, last year had nothing to do with character you dim bulb. It had to do with having no talent in the pen. Kind of like this seasons Frisco Chokers.

29. Lets take a look at who else uses those meaningless "injury excuses".
Edited on Mon Jul-20-09 10:42 PM by Forkboy
Injuries mattered when it was the Sharks....

I know they haven't been playing that well the last few weeks and have been beset by injuries(Goc and Blake went down yesterday) but they seem to be coming out of their funk and most of their players should be back by the playoffs.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=215&topic_id=89754#89825

Injuries were an acceptable reason here in regards to the Cubs. One has to wonder why it's not acceptable for the Mets.

I know the Cubs are having trouble scoring runs and have been beset by injuries but they're still only 4 games back

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=215&topic_id=97591#97602

Injuries seem to be on your mind here...

I worry about injuries

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=215&topic_id=101522#101624

Here we find you admitting that injuries can derail a championship bid....

We'll see if they can get past that second round jinx when the playoffs start, but barring injury I'm thinking Stanley Cup.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=215&topic_id=79118#79139

Injuries sure matter in soccer...

After blowing a two goal lead today, and coupled with the injury to Fabregas exposing more of what was already a weak middle, I'm starting to worry about Arsenal's chances of finishing in the top four.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=215&topic_id=80639#80642

Might want to decide which side of the argument you actually believe. I wouldn't want you to look foolish or anything.

You can thank me later.

32. Funny thing is
that I think I've been pretty up front and honest that it is embarassing given all these injuries to the Mets that they can't maintain .500 baseball.

I've even criticized the lack of depth on that team given that they only have a superstar SS, 3B, CF, SP and CL. Outside of that they don't have much else but an aging Delgado and a very young and inexperienced Joe Murphy.

But hey. I'm some kind of dishonest lying Mets fan that can't see the forest for the trees.

I've even called for Minaya's and Manuel's collective heads on a plate for this mess.

And these dopes think they are telling me something I didn't know.

Edited on Tue Jul-21-09 01:27 PM by Forkboy
Your example is a good one. Here's some other examples of Grade-A douchebaggery....

Complain about injuries, then tell others injuries are no excuse? Check.

Gloat constantly, then complain about gloating? Check.

Boast about the Wild Card for a month, then when the team isn't in first in the Wild Card race say the Wild Card isn't important yet? Check.

Accuse of other teams of being losers when the Giants haven't won in 55 years? Check.

Rag on people for steroids while defending the biggest cheater of them all? Check.

Everybody else feel free to add their own. Maybe we can get the mods to make it a sticky post. :D
