The Boston Red Sox - 2004 World Series Champions
Still just makes me very happy to see it, and I can't think of a better way to start this forum out.

11. I think Pedro's staying right where he is
There's no way Pedro would ever play for the Yankees not after this year!
Who's your daddy now?
:spank:

19. it's posturing. I know for sure he's staying here.
We will get Pavano regardless as well. Tek will be leaving as will Lowe and Cabrera.

20. I hope your right.
I don't know maybe I'm wrong but he just seemed like he had more of a heart and wasn't just in it for the huge paycheck. It seemed like he legitimately wanted to stay.

Sucks about Lowe, but I figured because of the whole bullpen thing.

8. As a former Rhode Islander and fan since 1967, what a great ......
feat this year, esp. pinning the worst playoff collapse in baseball history on the Yanks! I suspect the team will look very different next year...

10. That was AMAZING!!
I still get happy just thinking about it. Every one of those games starting with game four against the Yankees I was holding my breath the entire time even until the last second I wouldn't let myself think we were going to win....I kept expecting the usual let down but it was like being in some kind of a dream or something. Awesome!! Could NOT have been a better way to end the curse. :toast:

Now we just need that same kind of comeback for the democrats and all will be well with the world again!

12. As a Cardinal fan...
...my belated congratulations to Red Sox Nation!!

Wish my Redbirds could have given the BoSox a better Series, but hey, for a team that was picked to finish no better than third in the NL Central...105 wins, a thrilling win over Houston in the NLCS...we'll take it!

Enjoy your title folks, you earned it! :)

13. I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I would have liked...
due to the election. I was preoccupied working on that.

I would have been in Boston for the parade. I've been planning that since the mid 60s.

But I'll be there when they bring the trophy to Maine come hell or high water! I only wish my father could join me. :(

15. Still doesn't sound right.
You'd think there has been enough time to adjust, but it just hasn't happened. This is one of those things that's just not supposed to happen, yet it did.
