Rabbi Lerner takes on Opus Dei & Catholic Hierarchy-- Tonight 8pm
Rabbi Lerner takes on Opus Dei and the Catholic Hierarchy--Wednesday night,
May 31st

The Da Vinci Code
Fantasy, Falsehood, Facts, and Faith

Panel Discussion featuring
Most Reverend George H. Niederauer, Ph. D., D.D., Archbishop of San
Francisco

Rabbi Michael Lerner, author of The Left Hand of God, editor of Tikkun
magazine, and ³the most significant prophetic public intellectual and
spiritual leader of our generation" according to Cornel West, Princeton
University

Ms Kelly Macatangay, M.Phil., Silicon Valley data base analyst and
specialist in qualitative research and a supernumery of OPUS DEI--the
reactionary voice that has helped pull the Catholic Church to the Right.

It's going to be hot--and Rabbi Lerner is certainly outnumbered. His
critique of the assault on liberation theology, the fascist connections of
Opus Dei, and then of the failure of the Pope to speak unequivocally about
Polish anti-Semitism when he visited Auschwitz this past Sunday, plus his
critique of the distortions in the way the Church deals with issues of
sexuality, are likely to make it difficult for Rabbi Lerner.
Why is he doing
it? Says Lerner: "Someone has to speak up for a progressive spiritual
perspective, and if not now, when?"
